What is your Business or current Practice?

Experia Training Ltd currently provides a variety of training courses to individuals and businesses in the local area. Initially Martin began the business as a solo venture and then, with the support of a local employment scheme took Sarah on, who is now an integral part of the business. Experia provides training courses primarily within the area of Health and Safety, but also including First Aid, Manual Handling, Lone Workers & CSCS.

How did you first hear about Taste of Enterprise?

Initially, Martin saw the project in the town centre High Street and wondered if they may be able to help.

"The concept of a training company had already been established and we just needed the space and initial support including business planning advice and motivation.”

How has the project helped you and your business?

The TOE project provided free office space, a comprehensive business plan and the use of recourses, such as training room and office equipment, therefore reducing our initial costs and outlays in order to establish the business.

Could you describe any recent achievements/events/exhibitions?

"We are currently about to move into a new office and expand the business. We have also recently registered to become a limited company. We are waiting to hear on new funding contracts and last year we trained over 1,000 clients who were able to return to the workplace”.
